8/4 Monument Valley (UT & AZ)

To me, Monument Valley is the symbol of the West.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stand on 4 states at once like I had planned.

The town of Mexican Hat, UT was named after this formation.

This was taken from "John Wayne Point," supposedly a favorite spot for the actor to sit and enjoy the scenic beauty of Monument Valley while filming the movie, "Stagecoach."
